Mom, Sarah Abbey, continues to improve, and well enough now to cause trouble

Hello all,

Dad and I again send thanks for all the prayers, cards, and expressions of care.

I think my Dad agrees that Mom is OK for visitors now.
She is in room 406B of Church of Christ Care Center of Clinton Township.

Mom is talking OK, but somewhat slurred.
Mom's rehab sessions have started.  Today she was able to stand by herself (with a walker, and close supervision).
Mom will need a lot of determination to endure the rehabilitation.

Mom is still wanting to eat and drink, not comprehending or not agreeing with the evaluations that she is not strong enough yet to do so safely.  She is getting her nourishment just fine through a feeding tube.

She is also trying go from bed to the bathroom by herself,  even though she is required to be attended for safety.

Generally, she is getting better enough to be a bad patient / resident...

I am no longer worried about her health as much as her ability to fully regain mobility enough to return to her stair-filled home easily.
So I will send further updates less frequently.

Praise to God is appreciated for the amazing patience and tender care from the staff of Church of Christ Care center, as well as prayers it will continue for Mom, Aunt Edith, and their many other patients.

Sincerely,
Howard
