Mom still sleeping, slightly more responsive.

The hospital is trying to wean Mom off the sedation medicine that is keeping
her asleep. However, everytime they start, her blood pressure goes up.
They have reduced it some, and she is moving a bit more now.

When Dad talks to her, he is unsure if her movements are voluntary or
involuntary. It looks like she is trying to open her eyes sometimes.

Today her IV blocked up once, so a new one was needed. They could not find
a place to put in on her left arm. So they had to put it in her other arm,
which is missing lymph nodes from a surgery from about 14 years ago.
Because of the missing lymph nodes, Mom had been told to not have blood
taken or IVs from that arm. However, last year her doctor said that it has
been so long that it probably does not make a difference anymore.

Dad feels the hospital is taking as good care as can of my mother.

Dad feels he is not doing much good there, but he is there if they need him
for something.

Dad woke up today at 11am, left at 1pm, got there about 2pm.
He left the hospital at 5:30 to get home before dark.

Dad appreciates others visiting Mom, even though she is asleep, as it shows
the nurses others care about her.

Cousin Sean is planning on visiting tomorrow, 10/16. I hope I will get
there Thursday evening.

We thank you all for your prayers.
