Mom moving to rehab likely Wednesday

Mom now has a feeding tube.
Mom is much more understandable than when the doctor interacted with her on Friday.
Mom will probably move to a rehabilitation center on Wednesday.

I finished discussing with the hospital doctor for Mom, Dr. Burton, at about 3PM.

Mom got a feeding tube today.

Mom is much better in the doctor's opinion since Friday when Dr. Burton talked with her.  She is much more lucid.

They do not know what happened.  They are assuming and treating it as is if were a stroke.
The next step is physical therapy, for which Mom will need to be moved to a rehab facility.
Now we have to decide where.
Dad did not feel up to making the decision, due to his forgetfulness, so he deferred it to me.  I told the doctor that Dad is not as bad as he fears he is.

The hospital physical and occupational therapists have not yet examined Mom.
However, probably will move Mom to a rehab center on Wednesday.  The sooner she gets moving and exercising, the better her recovery.

The permanence of the feeding tube depends on how well Mom recovers.  When the doctor examined her last Friday, she was not sure.  However, now she considers it a possibility to be eventually removed, if Mom can do well with recovery.  At a minimum, the tube will have to stay for three months to allow for the needed stomach wall healing.  If Mom can swallow her food on her own, she may not need the tube any more after that.  Also, even with the tube, if she recovers sufficiently, she may be able to partly drink and eat normally, and use the tube for extra nourishment.

Prayers and advice for rehab selection are appreciated.
We need to pick 3 due to common bed shortages.  I am to give the nurse our decision tonight or tomorrow morning.
My suggestions to Dad & Mom will be:
1) Henry Ford Continuing Care Center - Roseville, on Kelly road, where Mom spent some time last year.  (As long as their memories of it were favorable.  I can not remember.  It is very close to my parent's home.)
2) Church of Christ Care Center, on 15 Mile Rd. (If they offer rehab.  This is where my Aunt Edith lives.)
3) Sanctuary At Fraser Villa (best rated within 5 miles of home, per Medicare.  A nurse mentioned the Medicare ratings.)
