Parents both doing OK, awaiting relatively minor medical decisions

My parents are both managing on own fairly well.
I was able to visit them yesterday.
They have likely relatively minor medical items coming up, and seem fairly well adjusted to the new regular routines.

Dad is worried about getting house and yard maintenance done that he used to be able to handle himself.  He and Mom are thankful for the work done by Uncle Robert, Cousin Greg, and Cousin Sean.

Dad is looking forward to an upcoming (5/23/2014) eye surgeon appointment, because he hopes to get new glasses.  An optometrist he went to for new glasses referred him, because he likely needs cataract surgery.

Dad has been driving himself to chemotherapy without issues.  It has not been bothering him in any noticeable way.  Chemo is continuing for now, after which an evaluation will be done if his bladder will be taken out.
His leg also has not been bothering him.
He hopes to get off the pain medicine patch he is on.  However, he recognizes that it has done him a lot of good.

Mom on 5/13 had a biopsy on a scar looking growth on her nose.  The results should come back in a couple weeks.
Mom is very frustrated with feeling like she can not do many of the household chores anymore.  While she greatly appreciates my wife Jodi regularly helping with stuff like arranging her pills, she still frequently is confused why she can not be trusted to do it.

It seems life for my parents has leveled out into a new normal.  Much of the old ways of life from last year has returned, much has changed.  Their love for each other has remained strong, and their interactions have proven it through the six difficult months of last October through April.
