FYI: Sally Abbey in hospital

Sally Abbey, my mother, was forcibly taken to the hospital on Monday evening, 1/24/2012.

She was confused and no longer speaking except gibberish. She turned off the light when Dad was using it. She did not acknowledge when my father asked if she knew who he was. This wasafter Dad returned from getting dinner from a fast-food restaurant.
For the first day of being in the hospital, she did not open her eyes, and would not respond to any talking. She would try to make herself comfortable, thereby pulling out the intravenous tubes. So they had to restrain her, making her more uncomfortable I imagine. She seemed like she was in a restless sleep, often trying to make herself more comfortable.

This morning slight improvement has been seen. She opened her eyes, and she told the nurse to leave her alone.

The doctors are awaiting test results. Preliminary results indicate that it is not likely a stroke nor related to her diabetes. A suspect cause is brain infection, which the antibiotics that she is on would help.

Please pray.

Thanks,
Howard
