SAE International endorses joint effort ... for common naming of Advanced Driver Assistance

I fully support this effort.  Car safety systems should have common, understandable names.

My company, SBD Automotive, tracks all the current names of safety systems ("ADAS" for our client and internal use.  While needed, there are better places we could place our value.  I am proud that SBD was part of the origin of this document encouraging simplification with AAA's report in January 2019.  I am saddened that automotive development is slow enough that agreeing on terms takes years.
